Concertgoer dies after stage dive at Persistence Tour show

A young metal fan has died after a failed stage dive attempt at a Persistence Tour gig in Switzerland.

According to "Blabbermouth," the incident took place during the January 22nd show, which featured performances from Suicidal Tendencies, Terror, Strife, and Evergreen Terrace.

The head of the venue explains that the 28-year-old tried to jump off the stage, but the crowd members failed to properly catch him and he fell to the ground.  He says a security guard responded immediately and helped bring in the venue's emergency unit.

They suggested the fan go to the hospital, where he reportedly had an epileptic seizure and died on January 24th.

A spokeswoman for the State Police called the concertgoer's death an accident, but the prosecutor's office is still launching an investigation into the incident.
